but if you can deny the genes that mold this callow view
you can cultivate an image closer to the truth

Make the buddah slit strips of flesh off his thighs
then rub the meat gently across your eyes
the blood will cleanse your corneas reverse lullaby
forcing you to awake and see horrific sights

The thought that consciousness might survive death
fills me with a sadness that is hard to express

Trials and tribulations
daily lacerations
